Visually light in its expression, the chair has no armrests and will take up less space, fitting with any table. The design allows for great freedom of movement—a quality that enables users to communicate and interact freely. The upholstery is folded in two dimensions and the relaxed air of the upholstery contrasts the perfectly shaped wooden frame. It is a testimony to the unity between the craftsmanship and heritage of Carl Hansen & Søn and the innovative design approach of EOOS.

CARL HANSEN E004 Embrace Dining Chair - Austrian design collaborative, EOOS, were established in Vienna in 1995 by Martin Bergmann, Gernot Bohmann, and Harald Gründl. The trio study historical roots in a contemporary context and use a unique process called Poetical Analysis to create works. Their method focuses on myths, rituals and intuitive expressions, to create connections that extend beyond initial perceptions. EOOS view design as a poetic discipline, and believe that end results should be able to accommodate changing needs and desires.
